Work is going on!

 

This Morning loads of lorries came and dumped stones.  The digger is at work all day.

Sunshine on the building site!

It is hot hot hot in Acharacle and the builders are working. We have started to try an brighten up the playground  by placing brightly painted stones here and there - they look superb.  We hope to create some artwork for the fences too.

Is it still a holiday?

Get to work,  it isn’t a holiday! Why are the builders not working today?  Where do you think they are? They maybe are at the shop.  They might think it is still a holiday but it isn’t.  They might be hungry so they went to get a sandwich?   By Rosie and Kayleigh-Anne.  

The pipes

The pipes arrived. They are piled in two big piles.  We are not sure what they are for but it’s exciting to see new things arriving!

2nd pine tree goes down!

Today the workers are cutting down the 2nd pine tree. The maddest one of them is up on the tree and could brake a bone! And hopefully no one gets hurt.

More and more work!

The progress on the school is getting to a very high standard on which im sure,because the weather has been fantastic for almost the whole of last week, and hopefully the whole of this one.

The building continues…

 

 

The builders have started the foundations for the foyer. The hall is well underway, there’s three full layers of bricks on it. The problem is that  the top layer of the road of the road is nearly completely worn out because of all the heavy machinery driving on top of it.

After the holidays!

The blocks for the foundations have arrived at the site and they have started to put some in already for the classroom side of the building. The new school is coming on quite a bit but it doesn’t look too different. The builders have done quite a lot of work with the site. They only have 7 months left to build the school so they better hurry up and get finished. The P7s won’t be here for the new school but at least they get to see the progress.

I have been taking photos of the builders.  They are mixing then poring concreat into big tunels and it looks like a maze.

What’s happening now?

They have made a hole right near the fence and now they have made it into a slope. And they have made our playground even smaller so they can dig more And at the end of our playground and people keep falling and getting muddy all the time and parents keep complaning about there kids getting muddy trousers and shirts. Earlier i could not see any worker at work but now i can see a  two small digger outside and some people. At lunch brack two workmen were in the lake and they put a big poll in the lake. BY SOPHIE
